As women we are trying to fight the inevitable aging process. So many factors of daily life impact and greaten the aging process of our skin. The main factors of this process happen on daily basis and most of the time don't realize it;
- Lifestyle & stress
- Skin type
Lifestyle: This is a factor that as human beings we have complete control over. What this refers to are things that you do on a daily basis such as do you drink heavily or have more than 1-2 daily, are you a smoker, do you have a habit of tanning (mostly artificial tanning), & how are your sleeping habits? All these that I just mentioned are items that you can control. One big issue is how you as a person handles stress. The amount of stress in your life not only impacts how your skin ages but stress can also have serious side effects to you health as well. Try to decide which activities in your daily life cause you the most amount of stress and if possible eliminate that item from your life.
Health: Now your health on the other hand you for the most part can't control. If you are chronically ill or have a weak immune system this will impact how your body not only effects the outside of your body but greatly on the inside as well. The best thing to do is to listen to your doctor or specialist advise and do all you can to keep your self healthy.
Environment: Where you live for one thing makes a huge impact on how your skin ages. If you live in hot desert where the sun is the most strong you will age quicker, if you live in higher elevated areas such as Colorado the air is dryer causing your skin to dry out, & lastly if you live is humid areas where the skin is moist you will probably age slower. Try to use the proper skin care and SPF for where you live to help reduce the damage caused.
Food: This is for most of us the #1 essential item we have in our life that we can find comfort in, food. Your body needs it to survive right, but are we fueling our bodies with the right stuff? Eating healthy for a lot of people is more of an inconvenience because most of the time it has to be prepare in advance and our life just doesn't allow time for it. Also for some buying groceries becomes a financial factor and it appears more cost efficient to order out or pick up fast food. As a test, if you keep a track of the money that you spend eating out or picking up fast food you will chock yourself on the amount of money that is spent. You may find that the $$ that's spent on little items in a week can sometimes equal one trip for the week at the grocery store purchasing healthier foods. Your body reflects on the outside what is put into it on the inside.
Skin Type: Every person falls under one of these 3 categories Oily, Dry, or Combination skin. If your skin is oily it has it's + -. Your skin may seem to have greater breakouts because of the over production of sebum in your skin. With this there is a plus, because your skin is constantly oily, it's also constantly moist there for it ages slower. If you skin is dry, you may be prone to fewer breakouts but your skin is also constantly striving for moisture. Therefore it may cause the skin to age faster. Combination skin may be the best category out of the 3. The skin is moist where you want it to be (T-zone) and drier on the cheeks. Always remember to use good skin care products suggested for your skin type and always use an eye cream morning and night.
